I was contacted through my Etsy shop about a sorority reunion. I am glad of the opportunity to help advertise my Greek merchandise but at the same time getting the word out about me and my Etsy shop! Here is the promotional that I am sending to her for their auction. Their colors are red, white and dark blue. I hope that they like it!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

S woke up with a start today and proceeded to tell me to be quiet. "Mommy, he says, you can't let O'Riley, the leprechaun, hear you or he'll do something tricky!" Then he proceeded to tell me that he had to wear green and only green. "Only green, Mommy... those are the rules!" I kept this conversation in my head all day today and can remember all his animated expressions.... I surely am lucky.... very lucky.

Upcycling

I was getting the kids ready for church and when I went through T's drawers to look for tights, I realized that they are now all a size or two smaller!! I was soooo disappointed because they were all still in great condition and so appropriate for the cold weather that we have been having recently. Pressed for time, I grabbed the legging I was looking for and chopped off the feet part. I then blanket stitched the cut so that the material doesn't fray. Perfect! Now she can continue to use all of her leggings for another cold season!

Brassica oleracea

The broccoli is finally all planted. I would have liked to till in more cow manure in the soil but I ran out and got too lazy to go and buy some more so I didn't. I knew that if I didn't plant all the seedlings at this particular planting session that I was not going to do it again for a while which means that the remaining seedlings will probably not make it because of lack of care. I ended up planting in both raised beds and one section along the dog run fence. That's ALOT of brocolli! Tomorrow I plant the pumpkin and will seed the Asian veggies. I do love spring!
