A Summer Recital

T had another recital today and she did a great job! She played a solo piece by Telemann and a Diabelli March duet. We are all so proud.

Last Day of Vacation

I can't believe that the week went by so quickly! Along with this week's posts, the week was full of activities!!
I finally made some headway on a couple of quilts that had been put on hold for a long while... Here's a re-do of the Ti Voglio Bene quilt. Along with the design change, I will change the quilt name to Ti Amo.

For lack of design creativity, I decided to use the same pattern to make the other quilt that is long overdue to make... Here's the fabrics that I chose.

I also pieced some Gator Tshirt quilts and they are now ready for quilting.

We took a respite from all the home stuff and went to Sea World for the promised birthday escapade for the twins.

We came back home to do more "must-do" stuff like give the dogs a bath.

...and Roxy got a brush too.... She was loving her spa day!

I also finally tamed the jasmine wall!

I think that a great vacation ending would be to top it off with a massage! Don't you think?! =o)

Quack! Quack!

T came to me a couple of days ago wanting to bake a cake.

She kept asking me if I could help her bake and finally got her Daddy to agree to help her. Of course, S2 got involved in the baking and decorating.

Here's the cake that they surprised me with.

They were even careful with choosing the plate to put the duck in. they wanted a plate that looked like waves.

I think that they did a great job, don't you?

Made Craft Festival!!

I was chosen to be one of the craft vendors for the 2011 UF O"Connell Center Fall Craft Festical!! I am so excited to be chosen and now I must use up all the free time that I have to create some stuff for it!! I have decided to put all the things into Etsy as I complete them and then whatever does not sell, I can bring to the festival. I do have alot of jewelry already finished from before and so I will have a small area displaying these original creations! It's really exciting to be preparing for it and to get creative on how to market well.

Since it is prime time for the Christmas shopping season, I've decided to show alot of my Gator tshirt lap quilts. and also have some pre-embroidered graduation stoles.

When I told everyone that I made it in the festival, T decided to help me get a jump start on it.

She sewed while I cut and ironed. It was a great partnership!

I love spending these creative times with her and her enthusiasm at the little things. At this project, she learned how to handle an iron for the first time! =o) Hopefully, she will not forget these times with Mommy...

Kappa Delta Custom Request

I got an email request to make some Kappa Delta pillows and was thrilled that the Greek community is learning about my little etsy shop! Here are my creations showing my applique and embroidery work. I had fun with the layout designing on them and was even able to use some of my lace stash! I hope that the Kappa Delta sisters will like them! =o)

Saying Goodbye Again...

Gave the two themed quilt to its owners today... I will surely miss my good friend, Anthony. Much love and success to them both as they venture onto their next life's journey...

Here is Jasmine's side of the quilt for her PhD graduation...
