Celebration Reflections

It was so nice to meet cousins and relatives that I've only ever heard of from stories.  Now I can put faces to the names.  Although the event took the whole of 5 hours plus the post celebration gatherings that went on to the wee hours of the night, I still have to admit that I can only actually remember names and faces minimally!  There were just too many relatives, and in true Filipino style, almost all the names have nicknames that confuse me even further.  (Babydoll, Jogz, Boloboy, etc.)

With the suggestion from my brother-in-law, J1, we took generation pictures. Here's the original C family.
From this original, there are only 6 remaining left although Auntie M was not in the original picture.  2 were not able to make it to the reunion.  One is in Hawaii and the other is in Australia.
Then we added their spouses.
Then their children...
And the grandchildren.
Daddy's 80th birthday and Family Reunion celebration was bittersweet.  It took me 20 years to return here and unfortunately, I have no idea when I will return.  For alot of these relatives, it may be the last time that I will see them.  I needed to make sure that I got as many pictures with as many that I could.  S2 was such a sport.  He was ever so ready with the camera!
