Fashion Filler #14 : Linen
Summer is definitely here in the sunshine state!
...and so I'm bringing out my linen to help transition into the hotter months.
Am I the only one that looks like I slept in my clothes
Even after they were just freshly ironed?
Nothing beats the comfort of a great pair of linen pants though....
No matter how disheveled one looks! ;)

Coral Necklace
The wedding again..
So here's my dress.
Simple...plain...hides the belly...
Therefore I can eat as must as I can. ;)
Well I needed a necklace.
...and so you know me...
Here are my supplies.
It took me a whole day.

Leprechaun's Luck
I really enjoyed this past weekend.
I did absolutely everything that I wanted to do.
Including a couple of things that I had on my to do list in pinterest.
(which is another post)
But I did do some beading also.
By the way, I didn't know what to title this post. So I asked S2 for a title.
He said Leprechaun's Luck after reading it.
You can determine for yourself how the content fits the title. ;)

But I did do some beading also.
These are St. Patty's earrings for my nieces and sisters and one for T.
I think they turned out well.
What do you think?

Recycled Knit Scarves
I have been wanting to make scarves for forever to list in my Etsy.
I have been pinning so many inspirations in my pinterest.
This past long weekend I made a couple for gifts and a couple to put in my shop.
Here's one of them that I wore with a plain orange sweater.
When you are feeling like an eggroll all bundled up in layers,
there's nothing like a scarf to give your outfit some pizzazz!

Its been sooooooo cold lately hasn't it?!
Any of you Gator fans interested?
Since they're recycled from tshirt knits, they're terrific for any season~ cold or hot.

Today's the first day of classes at our University.
We are getting really unseasonably warm weather here in my part of the world.
But you know me, I'm cold even when it's hot so I dressed comfortably!
I almost forgot about posting today and had to twist
T's arm to take a pic before it got too dark.
Sorry it's a little blurry!

Fashion Filler #10
Here's some more pics taken earlier this summer.
I don't know what it is about orange hues that I love so much... especially the tangerine color. So rich and bold and yet not right at your face like red!
Another color that reminds me so much of my favorite time of year.. Fall!

Happy Wednesday Everyone!
Hope you're enjoying the cooler weather as I am....
Truly wish that Florida has the amazing fall colors that remind me so much of my childhood in the great white North.
But alas, at least I know that I won't be shoveling snow soon... ;oP

Fashion Filler #7
Happy Thursday Folks! It's rehab day for me and I thought that I would post a picture of me smiling since I'll be groaning and uncomfortable for the rest of day...
Here's a picture taken in the summer right before surgery.
It seems so long ago... maybe because I FEEL like it was so long ago... ugh! I'm excited that Fall is finally here though and I'm waiting for the cooler weather that it brings. (supposedly this weekend??)
Autumn is my favorite season...even here in Florida!! =o)

Fashion Filler #6 and crape myrtles!
I just LOVE crape myrtles! I have them all over my property and I like it that they grow fast! They are all abloom right now and their large blooms make such a dramatic impact from even far away. Believe it or not, there are some nurseries that have them on sale through Amazon here, here and here! See the ones around me in the picture? They were in 5 gallon pots when I got them 3 years ago! Look how big they are now...and I barely water them here in zone 9!!

Fashion Filler #5
Taking a break from the travel posts as I get ready for the weekend. T has her piano recital tomorrow too so it's busy as ever in the K household. I give credit to my little man, S2, who is my photographer. He is finally okay with taking pictures of me just as long as I pay him 50 cents for every photo shoot. LOL!

There is alot on my mind this morning since yesterday was full of bad news for me. =o(
I was busy all day figuring out what to do and how to solve the different dillemmas
that kept popping out of nowhere.

Fashion Filler #1
So what is this all about you ask? Well there are just some days where there is NOTHING extra special to write about. However, I do want to stay active with my blog posts. But what I don't want to do is to be one of those bloggers that repeatedly talks about the same thing but for a change in color design or a pillow. So in between writing blogs, I'm going to do Fashion Fillers! ;oP Now I"m not saying that I'm the perfect model.... FAR FROM IT! But I do enjoy clothes and putting different outfits together. Maybe my fashion fillers will push me to look/dress better daily! But ahhhh... such is the life of a busy, working mom! Enjoy this post and please tell me what you think!

A Present from C2
This post is for my sister. There are three of us girls and in highschool, it was easier for us just to go with a short nickname. We have a strict Dad and so we were always stuck together because that was the only way that we could get permission to go out. I am the oldest and I am C1. Our maiden name starts with a C. The middle sister is C2 and the baby is C3.
Anyways, I am lucky to be blessed with 2 sisters that ABSOLUTELY LOVE and I mean LOVE to go shopping. By that I mean clothes shopping....and they give me alot of hand me downs! =o) They know every single brand name that is out there. As usual, I am the odd sheep of the bunch with my style being more Bohemian and vintage. I just love the turn of the century looks and the fashions before the 60s. I adore brocaded fabrics and textiles that have a story of their own. Which explains my passion for sewing and textile artistry.
So back to my sisters, C2 is the one in the trio that is really into shoes. She is a size larger than me. With today's current shoe fad, I am amazed at how they can wear (and balance) these super HIGH heels of today. I just never seemed to have recovered from my pregnancy days and remained at outfitting myself with mostly flat shoes.
Just a couple of weeks ago, my mom gave me a box of shoes from C2. Luckily for me, it didnt fit the friend who she bought them for. When I opened the box, I just stared at the shoes. Because they were not "my typical", I found them fascinating. lol. You guys probably think I'm crazy but I really am used to flat ballerina type shoes. But I love everything about these from their high platforms to their high heels to the super large cute bow. (and I dont like bows!) I put one of those heel backs on them and they fit me just fine. I still don't know to where I would actually wear them but I love knowing that I have them. =o)

So this post is spurred by this new blog that I am following Wendy's Lookbook which you can also find on the right of my page under favorite blogs. Although her blog is absolutely amazing because of her fashion style, what really started me following her was her social justice work on juvenile reform and underprivileged youths....and she has a great scarf tutorial!!!!!
So, this will probably be the ONLY fashion/clothing post that I will ever put on my blog, but know that I am now following Wendy's blog so hopefully this means that I will be inspired to change my Bohemian look somewhat! (Hey, she's got a Bohemian style dress similar to mine where all she did was cinch a belt around it! So I'm not that far away...... lol!
