We made it back in time for Sunday mass in English! Of course, if you are in Naga, the church to visit would have to be the Penafrancia Basilica. In this region of the Philippines, Our Lady of Penafrancia is revered and titled the patroness of Bicol. Every September pilgrims, tourists, and devotees come from all over to celebrate in a 9 day festival to honor her. (Wikipedia)
The exterior is nothing to boast about.
But the interior held its own beauty.
As you can see, the stained glass is majestic!!!
And the interior had a beautiful understated elegance.
