Holiday Greeting Post

The first tree that went up is this one next to the front door.

Next, with me being lazy, I decided to put up this small 3 footer in the kitchen
instead of the usual 5 foot one.
I also decided to keep it simple and natural looking by keeping the tree with no decorations-just the white lights and surrounding them with 6 smaller trees.  It really looks beautiful... like a small grove.  =o)  It makes the perfect centerpiece!

We then started the main tree.  This is my most favorite of all.  It is an 8 foot artificial tree that sits atop a round table high above where dogs cant harm the decorations.
It stands in the 'piano room' (what we call our formal living room)
with all our most treasured ornaments.
It holds the first picture of S1 and me when we got engaged and our first postcard ornament of our first Christmas together sent to us by a dear friend.
There's the ornament given to me by my best friend
on the Christmas that I was pregnant.
And the double ornaments sent by the same dear friend for the twins first Christmas.
This tree holds the priceless truck to S2 from Lolo... and all of T's yearly musical carousels from Grandma.
It has the beaded glass ornament that I made myself....
and even the dogs have their place ;oP
It took us several days to finish this tree as you can imagine.  There were alot of "oh, do you remember...", some tears
and many, many melodies that we "had to hear" from each musical ornament.
And when all was said and done, the kids put up the train to travel around its base and some of their timeless toys as added decor.

As S2 did the finishing touches on the table,
T put up the Santa table with  some of my Santa collection.

And lastly the live tree finally made it into the house next to the fireplace.
This is the kids tree with all their handmade decorations, fun shapes, bright and glittery ornaments and their stocking hanging alongside it.
It is our tree of Whimsy.
May the beauty and joy of this holiday season remain with you all year through.
Much blessings and good health to you and your loved ones always.
With much Love and Friendship, from the K Family.

  5. Ellen ~ all of your trees are so pretty! I adooooorrrre the one with all of the "memory ornaments" on it. It reminds me of my childhood tree. Each of us kids received a new one each year until that tree was just loaded with memories! :) Thank you for your sweet comments on my blog, yesterday, too. It was so nice of you! Have a blessed Christmas!
